We really enjoyed our stay at Chateau de Montreuil, which is a lovely boutique hotel set in large gardens near the citadel. Terrific location and easy to walk into and around the town centre. Their restaurant was excellent, with all five in our party well satisfied with our 3-course meal, wine and service. Highly recommended.

We loved this hotel! It had so much character, beautiful gardens and was convenient to the centre of the town. Parking available beside the hotel too. There is a walk along the ramparts which takes around 50mins - 60 mins and it’s just so tranquil with lovely countryside views. Good continental breakfast available. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!

The building in itself is unique. We loved the position of our room. We enjoyed lounging & reading in the gardens. We have a lovely meal in the restaurant on our first night. The staff were all welcoming, friendly and genuinely interested in making all their guests’ stay an excellent one. We will definitely be back to Le Chateau.

The hotel restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Kevin,on reception, sent an email even before we had left the UK giving the names, addresses and e-mails for other local restaurants to visit. On Tuesday evening he phoned several restaurants for us to get a booking. Such service. Breakfast was good, the local artisan bread, butter and conserves were delicious as were the warm croissants. The coffee machine did not,in my opinion, deliver good coffee.

This hotel was just gorgeous, our room was so pretty with a lovely balcony in the sun. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful! Really can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Beautiful hotel in peaceful, lovely area. Spacious, luxury room with great sized bathroom. We were also given room with large terrace/balcony overlooking beau gardens. Fantastic! We didn’t want to leave …..

Staying at this Chateau was a wonderful experience. We received a friendly welcome, a small booking error was resolved quickly. Our cases were carried up to our room which was spacious (huge) clean and comfortable. The decor was beautiful. We had a lovely meal in the garden which is well manicured. We really didn’t want to leave, and I’m sure we’ll be back.
