This was by far the best place we stayed in Uzbekistan. The host was accommodating and extremely helpful. He is also a wealth of knowledge about local history and culture. He is super approachable, fluent in English, and happy to talk your ear off about local history or his collection of fascinating antiques, which are on display throughout the guest house. I highly recommend this place. If you're coming to Samarkand, this is the place to stay.

Friendly and helpful host who spoke excellent English. Comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated rooms and the facility. Allowed us to leave our luggage after we checked out, and to repack in the evening. Made excellent recommendations for food. All in all, excellent experience.

Wonderfully run by Mr, Musavvir who greeted me by name and made sure I was welcomed. The room and private bathroom were both very clean with good water pressure in the shower and a fridge with a small freezer unit in the room. The communal kitchen was impressive, decorated with so many antiques it should be a museum.

I stayed 2 nights at Musavvir in Feb 2024. Musavvir is a traditional Uzbek Guest House. It's Owner and Manager, Sanjar, is a highly professional gentleman who know very well how to look after his guests. He went out of his ways to help me book taxis and train tickets to other cities, even once I had left the property. I would highly recommend Musavvir to anyone who wants to stay in a beautiful traditional Uzbek House in a central Samarkand Location. I would love to go there again myself.
