Beautiful, super clean and cosy room. We loved everything in it. Personel was very helpful, friendly and even came to show good restaurants close by in rain!!!! We got a lot of advice about the places we should visit. Destination of Hotel San Giorgio is perfect close to everything in old town Matera. Highly recomended in every way❤️ And not to forget... breakfast served to the room was also very good with local bread, cheese and procutto and lots of fresh fruit+ extra!

We stayed in one of the cave rooms- clean, quiet. A good selection of food for breakfast choices in our room- topped up daily. A fascinating old quaint town. I did the walk to one of the caves across the valley which was hard work but interesting. Lots of good restaurants nearby . Recommend this Hotel.

The host at reception gave us a brief tour and explained the city to us. Our room was stocked so we could simply have breakfast there. Also the Lucany restaurant beside our place was amazing. Highly recommend
