Are pets actually welcome?

It claims to be pet friendly. First you pay €30 per night for a dog, then another €25 for extra cleaning. You feel a bit cheated. The dog is not allowed in the public areas, or the pool area. You get the feeling that they don't really want any pets.

Overpriced

Very friendly staff but the building is old and needs work done. Overpriced for what it offers. For example old and broken AC inside the elevator that made weird noises and dripped on you, dirty windows in the elevator, breakfast divided in 3 different rooms. Breakfast variation in general ok but not so good quality and definitely does not live up to the standards they charge you for. Two of the towels we got were stained. We are very satisfied with the staff but for that budget, we would prefer to stay somewhere else next time.

Beautiful hotel and location.

Beautiful hotel located in the centre of the old quarters. Nicely decorated with a central courtyard. Spacious rooms, which is quite rare in this type of area. One of the best breakfast spreads we've ever had and very good service. Only downside was climate control as we were in between seasons and the hotel only heats in the winter and vice versa which left us sweating a bit.

Shabby hotel

There was bugs in the room and the cleaning was lacking. Walls are extremely thin and noise from street & elevator was constant. We had trouble sleeping in the hotel. There was paint from walls on the floor and dirt on bed sheets (not sure if they change all sheets between clients). Parking was not suitable for our midsize car. Only small cars can be parked on hotel. We were thrown out from pool by a very rude spanish speaking maintenance person before official closing time (sunset). AC was extremely cold and could only be put on one setting (on or off). So either its hot or cold. Only positive thing about the stay was the receptionist, who was very positive and polite. Breakfast was decent. The hotel resembles a shabby motorway motel. Not sure if the other reviews are real.

the location of the hotel is wonderful and the staff super polite and helpful. Unfortunately the outdoor pool was closed and the indoor pools could only be used for a fee. Loved this hotel. We are a family of six with four young children. The hotel is perfectly located with a gorgeous rooftop swimming pool. Having walked everywhere in the city I would say it is positioned in the most loveliest part. The breakfast was a gorgeous buffet that suited all tastes and the serving staff were lovely. I would say it was the best hotel in central Cadiz.
