Nice little hotel in the heart of Baku by the Old Town. Communication was great via WhatsApp, they helped us plan airport transfer and tours at good prices. Rooms were small but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice and fresh but began late at 9 am. There is a cold pool and a sauna in the basement. Staff were friendly and polite, always willing to help out. I was asked to pay in cash and not pay with credit card, this seems to be a theme in Baku. Just a heads up for when you go.

The hotel operates under a different name or does not exist. My booked room was not to be found. Was moved to a different hotel on street level with pedestrians looking straight into my bed with 1 m distance.

Very disappointing stay. The hotel looks nothing like the photos, especially the breakfast. On our last morning, breakfast was supposed to start at 8:00, but even after waiting 20 minutes, staff refused to serve us despite the food being prepared. We had to leave without breakfast and almost missed our excursion. Reception promised a refund but never provided it. Would not stay again.

Nothing wrong with the hotel, but I did not stay where I booked… When I checked in I was told that it was full and that they’d bring me to another hotel. It was a 10 minutes drive, still within the old city walls. Probably only a five minute walk. I got a large room with balcony in an old hotel. However, I don’t think it’s ok to put me up elsewhere. If I’ve booked a certain property I expect hotels.com to contact me prior to arrival and let me know. So even though the room was fine, the experience is not ok.

Hotellet hedder ikke Seven Palace Hotel, men går under navnet Seven Gates Hotel. Udefra ligner det billederne, men indenfor er der blevet snydt godt og grundigt på billederne. Beskidte tæpper, værelserne er ikke de som de reklamere med og ikke rene eller vedligeholdte. Morgenmaden er direkte ligegyldig, vi gik med det samme vi fik vores tallerken med 2 skiver agurk og tomat, et par oste og en vakuum pakket pølse med noget tørt brød til. Desværre virker det til at dette er tilfældet en del steder i Baku, så vælg at bruge lidt ekstra penge hos en kendt hotelkæde i stedet og så kan man nyde den ellers flotte by.
