Lovely hotel, the staff were helpful and friendly. The only downside was that there weren't enough bar/restaurant staff to accommodate guests outside the wedding and birthday party being held at the venue. Dirty lunch plates were left on tables for long periods around the bar and outside area.

Lovely stay. Everyone was very welcoming and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was an adequate size for what we needed and overlooked the gardens. Most areas of the hotel were nicely maintained. We couldn’t fault the bar or restaurant at all. Food was delicious and good service. We will definitely be back!

Great staff - particularly Renee at the restaurant and Stella at the bar! Got upgraded to a bigger room which was nice, but the lift was broken and we had a pushchair. The room was very hot and there was no AC in our room. The sauna wasn't working when we went. Overall a lovely stay with great food.

Wonderful building and gardens, with nice and quiet surroundings. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We didn't use the more formal restaurant but the bar provided good dining options. Breakfast was good too and the restaurant looks amazing. A very enjoyable stay, we will definitely come back again if we get the chance

Rooms are apocalyptic hot, with no ventilation, just fans that recirculation hot air. Rooms are broadly clean, but very worn and dated. Housekeeping barge in at 8am, fire alarms in the night keep you up. Food & drink are good though.

Staff on arrival, in the bar and when leaving were all very helpful. However I was disappointed with the room, one of the curtains was hanging off the rail meaning in peak summer time the room was light very late and very early - not ideal with a little one trying to sleep. The woodwork on the bath panel was starting to rot and paint peel and the sink was very noisy when the taps were on.

It was a lovely property with an interesting history. We visited in the middle of a heat wave and without any A/C and being unable to open the windows more than a few inches, the rooms were hot! A nice quiet fan was provided but it made the heat slightly less unbearable. Thank goodness for the pool! The staff were pleasant and helpful.
