Lovely stay. Everyone was very welcoming and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was an adequate size for what we needed and overlooked the gardens. Very nice location, wonderful garden and extremly friendly staff! We were there just after the heatwave and therefore the room was SO hot.. It was like a sauna. The first night, the hotel was fully booked so we had to arrange with that. For the second night we could change rooms. The new one was still warm (a normal warm) but way cooler. Thank you to Kristine, she made it possible. We were there for a wedding, it was very busy, but she took the time to help us. THANK YOU! Nice restaurants with excellent food, gym a bit old but well equipped. Overall would recommend!!!!

Pros: Overall beautiful hotel with lovely grounds. Clean comfortable room. Friendly dinner staff and nice food. Cons: Didn’t use the pool area as fortunately it was a lovely day so enjoyed spending time in the grounds, however for such a vast size hotel the pool does let it down as it is so small. Breakfast was chaotic, staff seemed unable to cope with the amount of people, no cutlery ready (my cereal Actually went soggy waiting for the waiter to find me a spoon). I my husband and I asked for poached eggs which they happily ordered then messed up.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was good but could have been excellent. When I checked in the receptionist was really lovely and welcoming and I was tired after a long working day. There were lots of extras around - water, free fruit etc. My room was basic but fine. Free still and sparkling water which was a nice touch and the wifi was great (important as a travelling salesman). No air con though. The thing that let the hotel down massively was the bar. There was one person working it and he was so slow. Not only that but the bar was a mess and he was asking team members to tidy it for him. I sat outside in a beautiful setting in the sunshine but there was no table service so had to get up for a drink or order food. And then wait ages to be served. Really poor, I’d expect more and it would bring in so much more revenue for the hotel. The gym was ok but tired. It’s a lovely place and could be amazing with a few tweaks

We had a wonderful time. There was something for everyone..the kids loved the pool, we loved sitting by the fires and wandering the hotel for cosy spots and everyone loved the walk. The staff were so friendly. We definitely wanto to do christmas again at Wotton.
