Comfortable but moldy/musty
I stayed in room 6. no mtn view. The owner was really nice, but the room was very musty/moldy smelling. Most of it came from the bathroom (which, ironically, was almost as big as the rest of the room). There was visible mold on the bathroom shades. It was to the point where I didn't want to spend time in the room if I didn't have to and had a bit of a headache. I am normally NOT sensitive to these things and generally book the least expensive room in the area with a cancellation policy and decent reviews, and VERY rarely have a problem- I cant think of one place in the area where I have stayed and would not return (and I stay up in the area frequently). The room itself was comfortable and clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Lodge had free coffee at breakfast at 6? 7? which was nice. But, the mold was a dealbreaker- I would not stay here again. If you are coming in late and leaving early, it wouldn't have been a problem, but I had 3 nights reserved and it was snowy and I have some injuries so can only do 1 all day hike- it was not a room I wanted to spend time in.
