We had a lovely welcome which set the scene for our entire stay. The bedroom was quirky and very comfortable with the most beautiful sea view. A lovely 2 night stay at this very convenient hotel on Newcastle Main Street. Great view of the sea from the family room on the 1st floor. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was lovely including breakfast and with parking just round the corner it was a great location.

We very much enjoyed a lovely one night stay at the Avoca. We had the most fantastic view from our room overlooking the sea and Mourne mountains. The room was really nicely decorated, cosy and had a large comfy bed. Everything was very clean and well presented. All the staff we came across were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was also excellent - great choice and plentiful. Overall a real gem of a stay and we will definitely be back!

Fantastic hotel right outside the promenade and a stones throw away from the town. I believe it was refurbished recently enough, very comfortable and the decor is really well done. We’d a beautiful sea view room. The staff were really nice and v helpful, the restaurant and bar were excellent (great food and drink). Highly recommend.

Great views of the sea. The fish & chips is beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is piping hot it's definitely the best fry up I've had at a hotel. The staff are so friendly & helpful. The hotel has a very relaxed vibe. The wild hare bar is brilliant, there's live music on at night & the cocktails are delicious.
