Premier Inn, Berlin City Centre

The hotel is close to both Wittenberg Platz and Zoological Garden, which are both main transport spots, making travel around Berlin very convenient. The hotel reception and attached dining area were small, but clean and functional. There is also a lounge by reception which is pleasant. All the staff were pleasant and friendly and happy to help. The room was modern, light and comfortable, with a bath and shower en-suite. A large screen TV and very comfortable bed. Basically it is a good hotel for a short visit to Berlin. There are several restaurant options around Wittenberg Platz, which also leads directly onto Kurfustendamm, the main shopping area in western Berlin.

Positiv: Gute Tiefgarage Akzeptabel: Frühstück Negativ: Sauberkeit des Zimmers, das Zimmer was wir bekommen haben war nicht komplett gereinigt: benutzter Zahnputzbecher im Bad, Waschbecken und Toilette nicht gut gereinigt. Schwarze Flecken in der Dusche. Bett gemacht aber die Bettwäsche eines der zwei Betten sah aus wie benutzt mit Abdruck im Kissen und schwarzen Fluseln unter der Decke. Personal: Anreise gegen 23h nur eine Person im Hotel die nicht die Rezeption verlassen konnte und haben somit auch keine Nachreinigung des Zimmers oder zumindest frische Bettwäsche bekommen. Parkgebühr mussten wir sofort bezahlen bei Check In. Eine andere Mitarbeiterin hat uns dann beim checkout als Wiedergutmachung den Erlass der Parkgebühren angeboten, dann aber gesagt: Oh Sie haben die schon bezahlt, dann können wir die leider nicht zurück erstatten, könnten uns aber an Expedia wenden. Bezahlt haben wir aber direkt im Hotel und nicht an Expedia, auch hatten wir das Parken nicht über Expedia gebucht! Unmöglich sowas, jedes Geschäft sollte eine Erstattung bzw. Korrektur veranlassen können wenn bei ihnen per Kredidkarte gezahlt wurde und wenn man die nicht erstatten will bitte garnicht erst anbieten. Fazit: Schade, Holiday Inn Express hatte für uns immer einen guten Standard, aber dieses ist nicht zu empfehlen.
