It’s a hugely impressive place to stay, with a grand sweeping drive and your large country estate for the weekend. Most of the accommodation is not in the main aesthetically pleasing historic hall but in some sympathetically attractive flats and studio apartments on the estate. The pool is decent the sauna for some reason was far too cool at 60 degrees i hope this was a one-off! The gym is tiny but with a good range of dumbbells and a cable machine I was able to do a good strength session. They don’t do breakfast but the nearby pub the stork is great value! Overall would definitely go again. The prices are competitive!

The place is great, very quiet and peaceful. My only complain is that the furniture and carpet in my room was old and that was an issue for my mother in law who had an allergy problem, and we could feel the sprungs on our mattress. The rest was great, the swimming pool, hot tub, all great.
