The guest services qas lacking very bad. Everything was at their leisure and not the guests. There was nothing to show or know what sort of external excursions were available and when. They had an orientation at 11am the day after arrival. Most people qould like to be at the beach or at an excursion. They gave no paperwork or anything in writing. They expected the guest to write it down. They did not offer paper. We sat down at to dinner at 6pm. They stated that dinner would not be served until 6:pm. We had been gone most of the day on an excursion, that we finally found out about , so they didnt bring us our dinner until 6:50pm. Due to Covid, it is extremely limited to leave the hotel premises. They were never in any sort of a hurry to do anything. We will not be using this resort for any future visits. We were not all inclusive,, we paid full price cash for everything. Their customer service was a surprise when spoken about on the 2nd day. Other couples in the orientation were in full agreement with our statement. They made no efforts to improve the notifications of excursions. We found ours online and then had to ask about them. Next visit will be somewhere else

The property itself was decent but nothing more than that. I had a beach front suite which had a beautiful view, this was my favorite part of my vacation. . My room had a horrible damp and musty smell that would not go away. I did bring damp rid to help but the smell was too strong.

Beach had stunning views. Sunsets were unbelievable. We went during covid so were many restrictions and not all restaurants were open but it was still a great time. Food options were limited but excellent, and we have some picky eaters. Can not say enough about the beauty of the island and this resort is in an exceptionally beautiful setting.

The resort is beautiful, perfectly located on the beach. The pool is big and warm, has a jacuzzi on the middle. There is only one restaurant open, their menu is limited but the food is good. Their drinks are good and there are plenty of non-alcoholic options. Staff is generally nice.

I understood having to be under Covid restrictions, however I did not understand why this included being gouged at the restaurant. We were lied to several times about what was offered, and pressed to order from a very expensive menu. Once, when we asked for a particular menu, the waitress insisted that we tell her who told us that they had it. We did not divulge that info but was given the menu. Very deceitful.

The Bay Gardens Beach Resort and Spa is a pleasant, friendly, quiet, relaxing property. The room was beautiful, excellently cleaned, and well maintained. The bed is your standard hotel bed, nice and firm. I did like the bowl style sink and rain forest shower, very modern. The balcony with the view of the pool and ocean made for beautiful mornings . The pool is enjoyed as well as the beach. There were plenty of lounge chairs at both. The water park is an excellent activity for kids and parents. There was only one restaurant open, due to Covid-19. The taste of the food was delicious; however, they needed more variety since they were the only onsite option. The Resort has other eateries, they just weren’t open. If you wanted off site food it had to be delivered because we were not allowed to leave the resort. There is also a bar. I don’t drink alcohol, but the mango smoothie was delicious. The bar does seem to offer a variety of drinks for the whole family. They need a drink menu. The staff was friendly and helpful, except for one unfriendly server and bartender. Everyone else was ensuring all was well with my family and me. This is not the place for you if you are looking for a lively night life. They did have karaoke one night, and a non Beach BBQ, it was under the restaurant structure. That was it. The other activities were during the day; bingo, a cooking class, and water aerobics. There are water activities, but you have to pay extra. The prices are reasonable.

Very pleasant staff. Extremely accommodating especially given the COVID quarantine. Beautiful petite property. The restaurant was a bit slow but the staff was very courteous and the tofu and red bean jambalaya was delicious and nutritious. I would definitely visit again.
