Nice area, expensive for the quality
Very high price for the quality of the hotel. Small business center, tiny bar area, rooms are old-looking. Worse part are the elevators which basically do not work!

Not worth it
The rooms are nothing like the photos. The furniture is so outdated. Theres carpet in the rooms which is dingy and makes the room smell moldy. The bed was solid rock and not comfortable. The bathroom appears unfinished as all the toilet piping is exposed. I asked for an iron one morning and they didn't bring it until the next afternoon after I complained. The restaurant downstairs is good. Food is excellent and the choices are very good. Truthfully that, the location, and the helpfulness of the bellboy staff is all this place has going for it. The location is good if you enjoy the hustle of the city. Think Times Square style area. I didn't mind that and it was fun to walk along the avenue and shop but it depends on your preference. Oh also, websites mention they have an outdoor pool and they do not.

Stay a Melia Paulista
I was not overly impressed with the reception desk. They are not very efficient and the person that took care of me, was not very friendly nor accomodatinf. Maybe she was having a bad day but I was not impressed.
