Fantastic stay at Château de Berne. The staff went above and beyond from check-in to check-out, the amenities were top-notch, and the on-site activities made it unforgettable. Mountain biking through the vineyard and wine safari were truly amazing as well as the dinner at the property's restaurant Le Jardin. Looking forward to coming back!

What a great start to our vacation! A beautiful domain with lush greenery away from the city. Quiet & super chill. Small towns close enough where you can drive & explore on day trips or have lunch/dinner off the property if you want a break from the chateau. The front staff were AMAZING & SO HELPFUL🙏 Reasons I gave it a 4-star: -our patio was a bit disheveled & needed a daily sweep -there were “tiny” ants in my room crawling on my bedside table (but its out in countryside so i get it..?) -pool service was very very slow, Not sure if the button worked but no one came. Finally just had to order from bar All in all wish we could’ve stayed longer & we would definitely go back.

We had a great experience. The facilities and cooking class were great. The staff were personally very friendly and helpful. The property was a little tired here and there and it seemed a bit disorganized at times. One thing you should know: this property is pretty remote and it is difficult to go off property without a car. The nearest towns are very small and don’t have much of a taxi service. There are two restaurants on property that are related. One is a Michelin star restaurant and the other is the “bistro.” The bistro menu is quite limited so if you are planning to stay more than two days you will want to go off property for sure. Make sure you arrange transportation in advance.

This is one of the most beautiful, picturesque properties I've ever stayed at. And I travel every month, all over the world. It's about a 1.5 hour drive from the Nice airport towards Provence. The drive was easy with Apple Maps, but be aware if you're a driver from USA, French roads in this area have many twists and turns. If you are prone to motion sickness, take precautions. Once You arrive on property, that drive will be well worth it. Words can't describe a sunrise over the vineyard, hiking trails out your back door, an infinity pool overlooking trees and grapes. A four-hour cooking class that is capped off by a two hour lunch over wine where you imbibe your culinary creations (Chilean sea bass, Filet mignon). I also took part in a meal at the Michelin starred Le Jardin du Berne, fantastic meal. They have ebikes to roam around the property, which I didn't do. But, I did do a sunrise yoga workout in their fitness studio patio, just me and the flora and fauna of Provence, and that sunrise. One night I couldn't sleep (jet lag), so I went out onto my terrace and watched the stars in the galaxy over a glass of Rose, provided by my room. There was an overnight staffer named David, who, when the kitchen was closed at 4 AM, brought me a fresh espresso and frothed milk and sugar to start my day. Cudos to the entire team.

Basic problem, we not given the room we booked. Booked a Junior suite with uninterrupted views of vineyards and forest’ - we were given a ground floor room near the kitchen with view of a hedge. Hotels.com description is vineyard views and hotel website for Junior suite is vineyard views. When we asked for a change to correct room the staff were at first argumentative and dismissive then just said there’s nothing they can do. Even if they had offered a token compensation it would of soften the disappointment. One member of staff switched to French and made some poor comments about my wife not realising we both speak French. We challenge her and she said ‘I need to go to toilet’ and disappeared. Overall this did spoil our experience. Feeling we dod not get what we paid for and a really bad customer service experience. The hotel does have some great facilities and is in rural idyllic location. Special mention for SOPHIE in the Spa, best massage my wife has ever had. Also VALENTINE in the bar.

An amazing stay.

It was amazing. My room was perfect with an extremely comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I had a problem with a noisy group at dinner and the FB Mgr changed my table to the private kitchen table next to the chef. It was amazing. The good was extraordinary. I will definitely return.

This one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. It truly is a five star hotel and I can’t say enough good about it. We stayed in a junior suite with forest views. The bed, linens and room was first rate. Each and every meal was beautiful and delicious. There were no gaps in service either in the Jardin or Bistro. The only negative was the very hot weather.
