Historic grandeur meets modern Glasgow energy

Arrival plays out in a building that pairs A listed sandstone character with a sleek tower, linked by a partly glazed roof that keeps the transition bright and dramatic. Inside, contemporary interiors focus on comfort with a sophisticated palette, modern furniture, and thoughtful lighting. We couldn't have had a better experience. Very clean rooms, helpful staff, and great restaurant on site. Important to know that parking is down the block (not right by the hotel) but easy to get to. Great location.

8/10 Very good

Check in staff were very helpful and the hotel was lovely and clean with a great shower and in an ideal location. The only negative was breakfast which was chaotic, not enough tables, running out of food items very quickly and probably because they were short staffed staff were quite rude. Would stay again but wouldn’t have breakfast.

We’ve been looking for a ‘go-to’ hotel which is clean, up to date, good location and comfortable. The Carlton Hotel was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back. Having a view of the River Clyde, a library, a bar with character and class and very friendly helpful staff members.
