Our stay was wonderful from the moment we checked in. We arrived at 1am and the night reception staff were excellent. Daytime activities with Jojo and Martha were fun to watch and participate in. Jojo knew the names of all of the holidaymakers which really was a special touch. Food was typical of this type of hotel and we were always able to find something on offer to enjoy. Overall it was the staff at the hotel that made our stay so special.

My husband and I booked this hotel through Hotels.com expecting a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly affected by a very large group of middle aged men (for a large football tournament) staying at the hotel during our visit. The issue was not limited to noise at night. Throughout the day, the group dominated large areas of the pool and bar, creating an atmosphere that was very different from the quiet holiday we had anticipated. We frequently found ourselves wearing headphones simply to relax and have a conversation, and it became difficult to enjoy the facilities we had paid to use. We raised our concerns during our stay and were told that the hotel couldn’t assist in any way. Ultimately, the experience affected our holiday to such an extent that we checked out three days early and paid for alternative accommodation elsewhere. The facilities themselves may suit travellers looking for a lively environment, particularly if travelling with sports groups or large organised parties. However, couples seeking a peaceful and relaxing break should be aware that large groups can have a significant impact on the atmosphere of the resort. Especially if you are a female and don’t like being in the midst of large groups of men. I appreciate that hotels cannot always control guest behaviour, but I believe guests should be informed when large organised groups are staying, particularly when they may substantially alter the holiday experience.

Amazing stay. We stayed for a group event and everyone loved the atmosphere! The staff were incredibly helpful and the food was amazing! Also catered really well for gluten free guests. The property is quiet. The room is large and comfortable. We enjoyed the sports ground and facilities. The food tastes nice. The location is great, 10 mins to the beach. To improve, the swimming pool is cold in October. If there's a heated swimming pool, children will be more enjoyed to stay and we will definitely come back. It would be better if the food could have a wider range of varieties.

Did not like the music by the pool at night until 1030pm because it interfered with our sleep. Could you find another location? Breakfast was a wide selection and very tasty,but the hot choices were barely warm. Had to use the microwave to heat up. Staff very pleasant.Rooms spacious and clean.

Family holiday with light training included :)

I have just returned from an 8 night stay in the Victoria Sports & Beach Hotel with my wife and baby daughter. We were all made feel very welcome in the hotel. All the staff were friendly and were particularly attentive to our baby. The restaurant staff were particularly friendly at breakfast and dinner. The availability of the running track, gym and nearby trails meant that I could get in some nice running on our family holiday. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable. A baby cot was set up and ready for us on arrival, free of charge.
