I was surprised at how highly rated this hotel is on Expedia. The staff and grounds are lovely, but that is everywhere in Bali. The rooms are old, dirty and in need of a serious make over. Lamp shades stained. Floors chipped and marked. Bathrooms mouldy and in very poor condition. My basin didn’t drain properly. The shower was moody and cracked. The toilet was old and didn’t flush well. I think it is seriously over priced. The breakfast is very low quality as well.

Loved the position of the Griya Santrian. Lovely views from the beach loungers. Deluxe room by centre pool was good. Surprised that there were no activities like cultural performances or pool activities. The breakfast was disappointing,poor quality juice and the coffee was undrinkable. That was a topic raised by everyone we met. Would return if breakfast was better. We prefer the Maya and the Hyatt Regency which are not so resistant to change. Felt that the Griya Santrian needs to listen to it’s guests more
