Quiet hotel just a 20-minute walk from city center
The hotel was just over a mile from city center so it was more quiet than staying in that area yet just a 20-minute walk to get to all the action. The room was clean and kept up well. The bathroom was small, no storage area by the sink and the shower was about 30 inches wide, so shampooing your hair was a task because your elbows hit the walls of the shower. There was no facial tissue, which seems to be standard in most hotel rooms. The location was in a neighborhood with a pub nearby with authentic Irish musicians and other eating options close plus a Catholic church just down the road (record-breaking 17-minute Mass), so that worked well for us. Maybe the best thing about this hotel was that it was next door to an Aldi with great prices on fresh food and European chocolate!

Great No Frills Hotel with Helpful, Friendly Staff
The staff were very helpful and charming. The room (204) was quiet, and overlooked a pretty courtyard. The beds were comfy and the room itself was clean. The bathroom was basic, and needed a deep clean. There is no AC, which s not normally a problem in Dublin.

Rathmines Travelodge
We have a mixed view - on the plus side: good location near shopping and multi food choices, recently remodeled, clean, great staff, room size pleasant, access to city very easy via bus, free WiFi . On the negative side: very Spartan - no luggage racks thus no place to put luggage except on the floor, no control of temperature (tended too be on the warm side for us).

Great Hotel Choice
Alicja met me at the desk and assisted with travel in the area for 3 days. Sarah helpped me take my bags to my room. The bus dropped in the entrance to the hotel and I just crossed the street to travel to the city center. Aldi's (grocery store) was next door and Tesco (grocery) two blocks down the street where I purchased a sim card for my phone (the manager helped install it). The room was very comfortable and clean. The only thing that would have made it better was a fridge and microwave. There were stores and restaurants and stores up and down the street. I felt very safe. McDonald's a couple of buildings down in a small mall.

inexpensive and clean
The Hotel is clean and location is good. Not a luxury hotel. Rooms are simple. But if you are looking for a place to sleep and shower at a good price this is it.
