the Breakfast was good, not many options, but very tasty.. The dinning room gets cold so get a blanket if you go there in a winter morning. Location is great to walk to the zocalo and have a drink or eat out. We stay in this hotel every time we visit family.

This is a beautiful historic hotel on the main square. Very conveniently located. The service staff cleaning rooms, room service, waiting & busing tables, taking care of the breakfast buffet, fresh tacos, fresh eggs, omelets, pancakes were all absolutely delightful people, friendly and welcoming. That's where the excellent ends... the front desk reception staff were NOT welcoming or inviting very snotty & rude. The manager was in the lobby most of the time just ignoring guests, our remotes didn't work and our key stopped working after 12pm our second day. Each time we came to the desk the staff was very annoyed having to help and NEVER once apologized for our inconvenience. The listing says heated pool but it is not. I guess it's to much for management to greet and show their appreciation for your business. I've worked in hotels and travel retiring after a 45 year career. I would never have passed a customer without greeting them. They send messages through the message system but do not respond to yours either.

Excellent location, pretty hotel. Wifi is good. Breakfast has a lot of options, but it was surprising there was no type of plant milk for coffee for anyone with allergies. I also thought it was strange that I had to walk through the breakfast restaurant between my room and the lobby to come in/out of the hotel. I didn't like the fact music at the pool (which was immediately next to my room) started playing around 8:30am daily, even on weekends, because this woke me up every day of my stay. That's because the patio doors to the pool are thin and have no insulation. I would stay here again, but I would avoid a room bordering the pool deck if possible. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Water pressure in the shower was good.

It was a very pleasant and wonderful surprise to find that this hotel exceeded all expectations. The photos don't do justice to its excellent condition. The pool is no longer covered, making it perfect for sunbathing all day long, which is why it's the best spot in the hotel, and I'm sure in all of Tlaxcala. The breakfast restaurant offers a simple Mexican buffet, but the service is excellent. The restaurant on the upper floor of the lobby is of excellent quality, with very good food and very reasonable prices. The location is absolutely prime, right across from the city's main square. No other hotel has a better location. It's clear that it underwent a recent renovation, which improved it in every way. Highly recommended.

Room was freezing cold. Temperature at night dropped to 9 degrees Celsius and the bed only had one blanket and no heating. We were denied a 45 minutes late check out although hotel was half empty.
