Very Good 8.0
Great location and surprisingly quiet room
The location of the hotel is very central and in the middle of shopping and restaurants, but the hotel itself is very quiet. We heard no external noise from our room, which is amazing, considering how centrally the hotel is located. The bed was large and comfortable, and there was a nice sitting area. This is not the fanciest hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised at the amenities and the size of the room. And you really can't beat the location for eating, shopping, and transportation. The only downside is that cars/taxis cannot get directly to the hotel bc of its location, so you do have to walk the equivalent of 2 blocks to get to the entrance. But I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and room size!
Personally, really enjoyed this hotel! Only stayed for one night which was great because we were close to attractions such as dotombori and shinsaibashi shopping! Also, front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. They recommended us an amazing ramen restaurant to try. They also helped us with luggage forwarding! This was a spacious hotel room compared to others in japan as well.

IN the heart of the city
Very nice hotel in the middle of the busy area, but 0 noise. I would totally come back and stay here. 3 minutes to Namba station...perfect!!!

Fair 4.0
Overall Scuzz
We paid extra for early check in but were given a non-smoking room which had clearly been previously used by smokers- the scent of stale smoke was so pervasive we went and bought odor neutralizers. The black mould around the window and the extensive stains on the futon and carpet made the entire 4 day stay feel grubby. We can not recommend the Namba Oriental Hotel.
