Poor 2.0
It was not good experience in Tanjungaru.
Terrible staying. I would not recommend to staying here. There were some ants in the room. My little son was bite on leg by the ants. And we reserve Zoo tour by Tanjung aru, we were going to meet in lobby on 1 : 20 PM. But driver did not come until 1:50 PM on Dec, 23th. They (hotel ma) explained that the driver was passed because, we were not here. We were waiting from 1PM on the Lobby. Also, the bus come there were no guest in the bus! The driver said we were sorry to late. I know that the Sangrillia resort is large, but the hotel manager were not skillful, need to more education. finally, at the time of check-out day, the hotel officer did not to issue the record of staying here. They said to the recording of stay should be published by Expedia. But, I told previously visited-hotel sometimes issued the record. He just told me loudly, it is not. The attitude was not enough to be hotel manager at 25th Dec on senior manager of check-out center. In my experience, the hotel manger don't like the guest who booking by If you want to go Shagrilla, you should booking directly on line. Previously I visited Cebu Shangrilla, it was better. But, recent experience, I would recommed to stay here.

Good 6.0
AVOID ROBBY-CLOSE-ROOM. My room was right next to the robby, meaning hundreds of people pass by running, yelling, singing and hopping on the hallway till at least after 10pm. And after 10pm, the live singing continues till midnight. I asked to the reception to change the room, accepted, but needed to wait around 3 to 4 pm, that was not matched our schedule, so had to bear another night. Breakfast buffet was generally awful, this is personal taste, though. Staffs were not friendly. Overall facilities (especially pools) are convenient for children-accompanied-family. Kids club's staffs were kind.

인생 최악 호텔 worst hotel in my whole life
They charge 3000rm deposit for the stay that’s less than half worth. And they charged me twice consequently they are gonna refund more than 1000US dollars. It’s not small considering interest rates. Also their attitude dealing with this problem was very poor. If I hadn’t checked my bill I wouldn’t have even noticed this and I had to send countless emails to get their answer and the reply didn’t contain the exact way or date that they’re gonna give me a refund. I was very stressed Also there’s no air conditioning at the lobby that you have to wait in the humid heat for check in and out. Pool and the pool side bar were always very crowded with korean families with their children. Also the morning buffet was definitely the worst one i have ever been. Foods ran out, the restaurant was really crowded and noisy. Lastly my friends got locked in the rest room for the poorly working door. And a lizard was found there too. IT PERFECTLY RUINED MY HOLIDAY I moved to hilton hotel the last day which costed only 1/3 of it, everything was better.

Very Good 8.0
A great place with younger children
It’s a really nice hotel for families with younger children. The pools, the food and the facilities are great. The only disappointment we had was the beach, actually the sea. The beach had the red flag and was closed all nights we stayed due to the stingy jellyfish. I hope the hotel could bring in more efforts to protect and clean its lagoon.

Very Good 8.0
Pricey, but best in area
Firstly, the good about the stay. The staff were attentive and very friendly and they did their best to help with any queries you had. The facilities were really good, with the pool and gym being excellent. I always felt relaxed there. The hotel was close to KK (get an uber into Town as it's a quarter of the price) and you could also get a boat to the nearby islands. The sunset bar was amazing and the views are simply superb for sunset. People come from all over KK to go to the Tanjung Aru area for the sunset. The downside was the hotel decor was a little tired, in particular the rooms. Having stayed in the Shangri-La KL prior to this, it was chalk and cheese in terms of the quality of the room. Seeing as we spent a fortune at this hotel that was disappointing. The other let down was the lounge. Ordering eggs / waffles in the morning was a long drawn out affair and it took about half an hour one day. Although there were about 20 people in the lounge, surely this is a long time to wait. The final issue I had was the price of the food in the restaurants. £50 for a steak and £30 for a buffet to me is a little high. Overall, I did enjoy my stay, but I think I overpaid for the quality of the hotel.
