Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable Serengeti experience with an exceptional team Our stay at the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti was truly exceptional and one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania. The setting is breathtaking — being in the middle of the Serengeti and watching elephants and other wildlife visit the waterhole right from the lodge is something we will never forget. As beautiful as the property is, the people are what made our experience truly special. A special mention to Glory at the front desk, who was incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel genuinely cared for and at home. Our heartfelt appreciation to Chef Venu, who made our dining experience extraordinary. As vegetarians, food while traveling can sometimes be a challenge, but Chef Venu went above and beyond for us. The meals he prepared were fantastic, and on several occasions they genuinely reminded us of food from home. After days of traveling, that feeling of sitting down to a wonderful meal that brought back memories of home was incredibly special. Thank you, Chef Venu, for taking such personal care of our family. And a huge thank you to our safari guide, Sam. His patience, knowledge and enthusiasm made our game drives unforgettable. We were traveling with our 6-year-old, and Sam was wonderful with our family throughout. Most importantly, he helped give us an absolutely incredible Great Migration experience — something we had dreamed of"

"Good for price but not luxury tent"
Anantya Serengeti
"We stayed for 2 nights in July. Anantya Serengeti was so well maintained and clean. The hotel was situated in a beautiful location, which encouraged animals to roam the grounds. The first night, we encountered two buffalos. The second night, a family of thirty over elephants walked infront of our room. The bedrooms were spaced out to give privacy. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, however the packed lunches were not good. One incident marred our stay, where the rangers had set fire to the land opposite the lodge. Smoke engulfed the entire property for a few hours from dinner to midnight. This caused me an allergic reaction to the smoke, which entered the tent. The hotel staff and operations manager had to frantically ensure the fire did not spread to the hotel. Better coordination with the rangers should be done in the future. Any fires should be done during the day when all guests are away."
Serengeti Luxury Retreat
"Danny is the perfect host. He took care of everything and did so much to make our stay special. With Bush side breakfast and dinner with a campfire along with a perfect sundowner, he and the staff ensured our stay was extra special. And of course, Denis our safari game driver made sure we saw everything that one hopes to see in the Serengeti… leopards, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, impalas… even a serval cat, along with a huge pride of lions full of cubs. Incredibly special place and more than worth it."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Serengeti
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit the Serengeti is during April, May, and December, when hotel prices are lower. To truly experience the area's remarkable landmarks, history, and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, you can explore significant sites such as the stunning crater, educational institutes, scenic lakes, flowing rivers, the nature reserve, captivating valleys, the national park, and the national state park. Be sure to visit the visitor center, animal sanctuary, and lookout points to enhance your experience. This trip offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for travelers on a budget.

Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available in the app allows travelers to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you identify our best options. Whether you're planning a safari during the peak season or a spontaneous getaway, being informed may enhance your travel experience.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay at a Serengeti hotel. If you're interested in unique accommodations, boutique hotels might provide a more personalized experience and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we can suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, helping you to potentially save on your reservation.
- Consider your location: Staying close to major attractions or city centers can be convenient, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighborhoods, balancing price with easy access to the places you want to visit. You might also look into independent hotels that are a bit farther out, as they usually tend to be more affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
