We were pleasantly surprised at every turn of our stay. From the Inn, staff, grounds and food. Didn't want to leave. Will certainly return.

Beautiful place & wonderful staff, but no AC
This was a short little getaway to celebrate my wife’s and my birthday. First of all, the grounds are beautiful with an amazing history. All of the staff was very friendly with the highest praises going to Lucy at The Lodge who made our stay extra special. The only downside was that our AC was not working... it was a little warm when we arrived late Friday and we were out exploring all day Saturday... by the time we returned late that day our thermostat read 79 degrees even though it was set on 68 and had been constantly running. I called the front deck to make them aware and they did offer to send someone out to look at it, but it was late and we were tired (and having experience with HVAC work myself, I really didn’t think it was anything that could be fixed in a timely manner). This made for an uncomfortable night and prompted us to check-out a little earlier than we had originally intended. The property is older and though it appears to have been well maintained, little glitches are to be expected. Hopefully our next stay will be more comfortable. Again, our sincere thanks to Lucy at The Lodge.

    Good 6.0
    A little shabby
The Inn is secluded. The architecture very austere - poured concrete, straight lines, no adornments. Minimalist, which we like. Rooms comfortable. Bed good. Bathroom good except for a difficult climb into the shower if at all arthritic. Breakfast was hardly up to the level of a mediocre hotel. The staff barely friendly, except for the 2 women who worked in the Lodge who were both charming. Overall, disappointing for the price point.

    Exceptional 10.0
Very nice and unique location. Everything about our stay was just great, except maybe the centipedes who shared our room (understandable due to the woodsy location).

    Exceptional 10.0
Great stay except for a couple of uninvited guest.
The only down side was a couple of uninvited guest in our room (millipedes). However when your in the woods things like that are bound to happen. Overall we had a great stay!
