Everything you want from a stay The location is excellent, which made it easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. The staff were consistently polite and helpful from check-in to check-out. The rooms are lovely, and ours had a balcony, which we used every morning and evening. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Five stars without hesitation. We would happily stay at Van der Valk again.

Very spiffy property overall. Room was large for historical building. In room coffee was a plus, Keurig style machine and tea kettle. Refrigerator. Bed comfortably firm, four large pillows. Breakfast very nice, complete offerings. Location on market square is ideal. A/C not adequate for our south facing room in June even though outside temps were below 70F.

Lovely to look at, great breakfast, quiet and very comfortable room. Lacking a kettle, plug for sink and milk, despite having a little fridge. Annoying that reception sent me to line up at the kitchen to get milk forbtea when requested.

Loved almost everything about it!

Loved the hotel. It was perfectly located in the old place in the market square. The room was beautiful and our room had a view of the square, which with windows open was a bit noisy, but so worth it! The breakfast was amazing, chose the homemade orange juice, it was remarkable! The swimming pool was nice and the infrared sauna was worth a visit, also loved the ice shower. The changing room was more like an ulockable bathroom. We will definitely stay here again if ever in Hildesheim!
