The staff was absolutely amazing. We were in DC to celebrate our daughters b'day and I messaged them to ask if they would decorate our room for us before our arrival if I had decorations mailed to them. They said yes and they did! They also suprised her with an assortment of chocolates and a card. Everyone was so friendly. The room was clean. Though the property seems a bit older, it is well maintained. The restaurant was closed for renovations but fruit, yogurt, pastries and coffee was provided each morning! Super close to the metro.

Close to the Capitol, Union Station, and museums. Ahmed at the front desk was particularly friendly. Continental breakfast was nice and the hotel provided complimentary wine, soft drinks, and snacks in the late afternoon. Bikes are also available to check out at no charge.

Such a wonderful property. The narrow halls give the feel of a classic city-center hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean and up to date. The hotel lobby was roomy and welcoming. The staff was warm, helpful, and always available. The light breakfast was a perfect start to our day, while the happy hour glass of wine was most appreciated. We didn’t use them, but the availability of loaner bicycles was a nice touch. Valet or garage parking (across the street) was convenient. I can’t say enough about the front of house staff. So friendly and welcoming! We had two days here as part of a two week road trip - this was our favorite stay.

The best feature of this hotel was the fact that it was dog-friendly, which is what I cared most about. Overall the stay was fine, the room was comfortable, and everything worked in the room. However there was no continental breakfast as advertised - just "grab and go" sad pastries and a couple of apples and oranges in a bowl. Grab and go is not the same as a continental breakfast
