BED BUGS! I checked into room #320 of this hotel on 6/10/19 while traveling down the PCH. My son and I took all of our luggage into the room and within 5 minutes I went to remove the patterned throw pillow from my bed only to see a bed bug on it. I took a picture of the bug and immediately took all of our luggage out of the room. The person at the front desk didn’t seem surprised and refunded my $20 a night($40) fee for parking but said that I would need to call back in the morning when the manager was there to receive a refund for the two nights we had booked because it was booked through Travelocity. When leaving San Fran on the 12th, I stopped by the front desk to inquire about the refund. The GM told me that he’d inspected the room and found no bugs. Thankfully I had the picture I took to prove it. He very reluctantly spoke with Travelocity to approve my refund. I don’t know how this place has gotten all of their 4 and 5 star reviews. I have since read other reviews of people who either saw the bugs or were bitten who were refused refunds because, like with me, the GM claimed there were no bugs. I think he knows full well that it’s a problem and doesn’t care. Had I not gone in person and had a picture I wouldn’t have received my refund either. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Aside from the bugs it’s very outdated and just feels sketch. This place is not worth the money and definitely not worth taking bed bugs home with you!

The staff was amazing! Didn’t catch their names but the older gentleman in the morning let us park before our check-in which saved us A LOT of money. For those complaining about paying for parking... $20 is nothing compared to $50-$60 you would pay at a hotel located on the wharf or even just to park unless you strike gold and find street parking with a timer. The hotel is in a perfect location, has bars and restaurants right next to it on both sides and a liquor/mini mart around the corner. 2 blocks from Lombard St landmark, and took us no more than 10 minutes walking to get to the maritime museum. A Lyft to the Wharf is about $5-$7 and are readily available. We paid about 1/2 we would have paid if we stayed at the Wharf which saved us A LOT of money and that’s not including the $60 for parking and the additional $30 a person resort fee the other hotels charged. Only complaint, if that, it’s more of a personal preference but the bed was a tad too firm for me. The restroom and shower were in separate rooms which was extremely convenient and a HUGE plus. We will deff be back. Thank you for a great stay.

Hotel morning staff was great, very friendly, helpful and accommodating, evening staff was businesslike. I chose this hotel because of its walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and the price. It's a clean no frills place i used as a base for a couple of days while i was in SF. There is a breakfast served in a small room above the lobby, nothing to boast about but all i really need is coffee to start my day. If you're looking for luxury this isn't the place for you, spend a little more money and go somewhere else. If you're looking for a place to stay while you take in the Wharf (walking distance) and othet sights in beautiful SF, that is reasonably priced, this place worked for me. Keep in mind you can leave your vehicle at the hotel while you walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Fnding street parking there is a challenge and the parking lots aren't cheap. I traveled alone and am more interested in taking in the sights than staying in my room. If I'm traveling with a gf and she is like me more interested in taking in the city we'll stay here. If she feels the hotel is part of the travel experience i would consider spending more money and upgrading.

Good and Bad Points.
So let me begin with the good first. The room was very spacious and cleaned everyday. Bathroom was a little cramped only had a stand up shower but it was adequate. The problem arises from the fact that the walls are paper thin and if your neighbors want to stay up you will hear them. The unit above ours was quiet the first nite but the second nite we quickly realized a guest was in it, because the foot steps in addition to being very loud, were accompanied by a creaking sound. The hotel can't be faulted for the fact that every time some one slams a door, be it a car or room door you will be startled. Thats just the layout with cars parking right outside your rooms. Oh charging 20 dollars a nite was a little greedy I thought. The worse thing was the breakfast it basically consisted of toast, two types of muffins, coffee with no half and half just powdery creamer which I hate and hard boiled eggs and some juices out a machine, Certainly no frills and the space where breakfast was served was too small to accommodate guests. On more than one occasion we just sat outside or just went around the block to have a much desired bagel.

Basic and dated rooms but great location
Super basic motel stay. Cons: No microwave or fridge in the room. I think we had an older room. Didn't look like the pictures at all. Carpet was dingy and I didn't feel comfortable walking barefoot on it. Room was hot and dark. I had to turn on the ac even when it was in the 50s outside, it was that hot and stuffy in the room. Walls and ceiling are very thin. My husband thinks the cleaning service stole a bath item of his but then again he loses stuff all the time. Smell of bleach is so strong after cleaning. It was more expensive for what you get but I suppose all of SF is like that. Pros: Breakfast was minimal but it was something and free. Just 4 blocks from Ghiardelli square and 1 more block after that to the wharf. Location was great and safe. 2 blocks from the curved part of Lombard st. Man who checked us in was nice and helpful. Check out was a breeze. There's a laundry mat at the back of the motel that was awesome to have. Overall, basic stay. Nothing fancy. Dated and expensive but for a couple who just slept in the room and wanted to explore everyday, it was good enough.
