we were expecting to be booked inside the hotel but we were offsite and had stairs no elevator. there was no tissue box, we were told the owner of the hotel was trying to cut corners, the room phone does not work from the 1st day of check in till the last day of our checkout and we kept on telling the front desk but they keep saying they will send somebody to look and repair it. we were promised that somebody will be there to help us to get our luggage down from our room but nobody came. i have informed the front desk that we are checking out early and to have a boxed breakfast. ready for us on the day of our checkout even though we have paid for the breakfast in our booking. the night shift front desk andrea was so rude to us and my wife was just asking for at least a bottle of water or yogurt to take on our trip as i am diabetic and has been so rude shouting at us and has not attempted to at least be nice. alex the day shift front desk has been helpful the first day but unable to help us further as his authority is limited. the 2 girls in the kitchen has been very kind and helpful to us on our 2nd day of stay, i commend their dedication to their work.

After checking in we were walked to another building about 3 Venice blocks away. The room was fine but the bed and pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable.

Stay away from here
The staff at this hotel are rude and seem to be sick of guests. When I asked for some ice, they said I should have gone to a 4 ir 5 star hotel. The elevator broke down. The bar never opened. It's all going downhill.

Room/hotel were clean and well kept. Breakfast was good. Front desk personnel seemed never to be in a hurry even with the lobby filled with customers. Location was very convenient but our room got a lot of street noise most of the night from the alley outside the window. I'd consider staying here again.

Better to avoid
I booked through Hotels.com. I wanted a twin room. When we arrived, we asked for one, the receptionist said No and it was okay except that he was rude with zero hospitality. A young guy in his 30s? We were given room 500, litterally a room in the attic, under the the roof. We had to take 2 elevators and went through narrow hallway to get to the room. The room was a bit claustrophic due to its low ceiling. The bathroom was a bit smelly and the worst was the blanket. It looked at least 20 years old although the sheet was clean. Breakfast was fine. The staff there was actually very nice. Will definitely NOT stay there again. One might think the location is important but honestly Venice is so small. There is no need to be that close to St. Marco square if one had to stay at a room like that. It ruined the whole Venice experience.

If I had too.
It was ok. Our room location was horrible. Loud, you can hear everything! Food area was clean and ok just cramped and boring.
