We had a wonderful stay at The Houses of History. It was a unique experience, for our family as the property has a lot of character. The pool was perfect for cooling off during the hot weather and our kids really enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming and ready to help. Overall, a memorable stay, and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different.

The central heating failed to trigger in the evening, do it was very chilly at night, but better by morning - which was when we discovered that the inclusive coffee & tea had no cups in the room..... Very quaint place to stay in Lake Balaton. Easy walk to some restaurants in the downtown area. Not many amenities like a traditional hotel with 24 hour guest services but still a good spot. We did see a few spiders in the room but everything else was very clean feeling.

Amazing historic hotel, with amazing, friendly service. Renovated, spacious, clean rooms. Very little windows. Good airconditioning. Beautiful surroundings with a lot of green and flowers. The breakfast was fantastic. A great thanks to the staff, especially Loretta, who welcomed us like friends and made us feel at home. Best hotel we ever had. A little negativ point was the green water in the pool. We would like to come back one day
