The space was clean & modern looking, we found the beds rock hard and the most uncomfortable out of 3 different hotels we stayed at in Ponta Delgado, the food and drinks at the hotel were not very good at all and pool bar area was open just a couple hrs everyday.

Never sure what to expect. This place was excellent. A five minute stroll to the beach. The hotel is pretty central to everything. 10-15 minute drive to the south side. Room was excellent, bed was comfortable. Beautiful view from the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Made for a very relaxing stay

Fabulous property. Location is fantastic in quiet Ribeira Grande. Easy to get to all parts of Sao Miguel. My only advice is that if you come for the outdoor pool, it is very cold, and days with sun are elusive.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Verde Mar. Exemplary service from check-in to check-out, especially from the front desk/lobby, bartenders & wait staff. The pools, game room & sea view room were amazing. The delicious, well appointed breakfast buffet overlooking the ocean was a wonderful way to begin each day before hiking & excursions. Terracotta restaurant for dinner did not disappoint. We’d vacation there again for sure!

Hotel is stunning. The spa indoor and outdoor pools are a must visit each day. The sunset at night was breathtaking. 10-30 min drive to about of tourist spots or meeting points for adventures. Hotel sits across from a grocery store and a beach behind with people surfing daily. The dining room offered a variety of breakfast options and dinner was great as well. Recommend the mushroom risotto and mojitos. Very clean friendly staff.
