The Thomas Church with its worldwide famous St. Thomas choir, the Gewandhaus with acoustics unique in Europe, the opera with international productions. The Bach, Wagner, Mendelson or Schuhmann events and memorials have a density that is unique in Europe. Since May 2012 you can also follow the traces of the great musicians who once lived in Leipzig. A path marking runs through the city, the so-called "Notenspur", which shows the most important musical memorials on foot at over 23 stations. You can ge
the homes of Schuhmann, Bach, Wagner, Mendelson-Bartholdy or the place where Clara Wiek's birthplace was located.
There are of course countless other cultural events, such as the Leipzig Pepper Mill or the Jazz Days, which are known far beyond Leipzig.
