Melia Purosani Yogyakarta
"Melia Purosani Yogyakarta is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location, within walking distance of Malioboro Street. The lobby is elegant and makes a great first impression. Our stay started with having to wait more than 40 minutes for our room despite arriving after the official check-in time. Once we got the room, we found it spacious and comfortable. However, some housekeeping details were overlooked, including missing hand towels and a bathroom that did not meet our expectations for a five-star hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. However, when we started ordering, we were told that several menu items were unavailable. The available dishes we ordered were very disappointing in terms of flavor, quality, and value for money. Considering the hotel's reputation, we expected a much better dining experience. Breakfast was better, offering a good variety of local and international options, including an egg station and fresh fruit. The staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, Melia Purosani has a beautiful property, spacious rooms, and a prime location, but improvements in housekeeping and restaurant quality would better align it with five-star standards."

"Here were lots of things to do, the hotel is in an iconic location amd building and the staff are amazingly helpful. The breakfasts are fantastic and the food is great"
Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro
"Everything was 10/10 except the breakfast wasn't to my tastes. I can't mark them down for that though"

"The rooftop pool was a welcome addition and a little oasis after touring the city. The beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and very helpful."
Greenhost Boutique Hotel
"Amazing unique hotel with nice pool, nice restaurant, and big clean rooms with good showers."
Kimaya Sudirman Yogyakarta by Harris
"This is a good hotel. The staff is very helpful, breakfast delicious with incredible selection and the rooms comfortable. My only complaint: the bar is terribly overpriced. We learned that our first night. Later nights we noticed that no one is there. (Hint: walk 3 blocks to Ar+otek --- their bar & restaurant are much more reasonable with local live music many nights)."
Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta
"Beautiful and luxurious hotel with an A+ staff. Room is cleaned every day unless I ask to skip (with a button near the door) but they will come by later for a rescheduling. This way they can restock the free complimentary water and food/fruits. Pool is very nice, breakfast buffet is from 6am to 10am and I do recommend getting it as part of your room - wide selection and most of its pretty good. There is a national anthem at 10am that does play in public areas of the hotel. Staff is helpful and professional with the front desk and those at most front facing positions having strong English speaking skills too. Would go back if I was in Yogya"

"Excellent place to stay in Yogyakarta Indonesia"
Oakwood Yogyakarta
"Amazing and friendly staff who are always looking out for you and your wellbeing. The place was 200m away from the market which has local delicious food. It is also 100m from the Tugu Yogyakarta which has many cafes at the roundabout. It’s also 5min away by car to the Tugu Yogyakarta train station and 5-15min away from malioboro mall. The swimming pool is a relaxed and conducive place."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Yogyakarta
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Yogyakarta is during March, May, and September, when hotel prices are typically lower. For those looking to explore the city’s rich history and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to experience key landmarks and attractions, including temples, museums, monuments, and traditional dance performances. These options provide great value for money and an enriching experience for travelers on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For those seeking a getaway to Yogyakarta, exploring the DealsOpens in a new window and Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com may lead you to discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could stay informed about special promotions that arise, enhancing your chances to save on accommodation. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window feature in the app serves as a handy comparison tool, allowing you to evaluate different hotel prices and amenities, making it easier to find our best options for your stay in this vibrant city.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better deal on your stay in a hotel in Yogyakarta. If you're interested in unique accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalized experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price seems a bit high, we’ll suggest alternative dates that might help you find more affordable options.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city center usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Yogyakarta's great public transportation options, you may find a more affordable independent hotel located a bit farther out that still offers easy access. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighborhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, there are often excellent deals to be had. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
