We chose this hotel for our honeymoon on the Azores, hoping for an unforgettable and romantic experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations.
Lack of privacy (Shared villa concept): If you don’t book an entire villa but just a regular room, please note that you will be sharing the villa with about 7 other rooms. It honestly feels like living in a student dormitory or a shared hostel, which completely ruins any sense of privacy or comfort. Also room is very small.
Poor soundproofing: The walls and doors are incredibly thin. You can hear absolutely everyone walking and talking in the common areas and hallways, making it very difficult to get a good night's sleep.
Temperature control issues: There is only one central AC system for the entire building. Our room was freezing cold. When we asked the staff for a portable heater, we were told they didn't have one.
Disappointing breakfast: The breakfast selection was very poor and lacked variety.
On the positive side, the hotel itself is brand new, modern, and perfectly clean.
If you are looking for a cozy, private, and romantic weekend to celebrate a special occasion, we strongly advise against staying here. It has great potential due to its cleanliness, but sharing a space with so many people and dealing with the lack of comfort made it a very disappointing choice for a honeymoon.
