"Upon our arrival, an employee greeted us and helped with luggage. The public area was elegant and displayed so many beautiful artwork and antiques. Being at the top of a hill and by the ocean/bay, the view was gorgeous especially during cherry blossom season. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection mainly Japanese food including pacific lobster miso soup. There was a spacious coffee/tea ( snacks) area with the same beautiful view. Our room was a tatami, sofa set, and bed combo and was...

, too. We stayed with our 4 year old son. They allowed us to borrow some toys and game boards. There’s also bbq grill for rent.
The beds were neatly arranged. Kitchen was equipped with utensils. I want to go back here again."

"I score this hotel in line with expectations - this is an excellent location if you want a day or two savouring a bit of onsen fun and relaxation the way that native Japanese would.
Don’t expect up-scale luxury, but certainly I was very impressed that every convenience was provided within the rooms and around the hotel.
The staff were excellent and very helpful.
The atmosphere is bustling and at times a little boisterous. Particularly the evening buffet was quite ‘energetic’ with a distorting PA...

"Ideal peaceful getaway with gorgeous view of the bay and mountains. Courteous and most helpful staff. Always try to spend a few days here whenever we visit Japan. "

"This is a historic hotel and you can read about it in an area near the hotel called The Club, but the best feature of this hotel is the sunset view. The sunset view is so beautiful and you can see it either from your room or from the lounge at 5F. The staffs are very welcoming and wonderful. This is one of the best places we've been to where you can just relax and watch the day pass in your room in the middle of beautiful nature. We will definitely be back again."

"It's a beautiful, remote location. There's a free shuttle bus to and from Toyohashi station, and ample car parking, but no other public transport.
High on the hill, there are wonderful views, but it's a long climb. The rooms are spacious with a sea view from each one.
The buffet breakfast and dinner is extensive, though always the same. The onsen is clean with several different pools at various temperatures. We enjoyed it every day.
For us, the major negative is that they play tuneless jazz...
