"Very friendly staff. despite electro outage, theytried their best. Clean ample rooms. Most convenient overnight for visiting Eltz Castle. Surroundings provide excellent hiking possibilities. Otherwise it is just a 20 min drive to the Mosel with more activities over steep windy roads. "

"It was all PICTURE (amazing views) PERFECT (see attached photo of the view from our room). The restaurant…we had two dinners and three breakfasts. It was all divine. The wait staff was very professional. Overall an incredible property. If it is on your radar as a “maybe”, then you need to book it and make it a “definite”!"

"A pleasant hotel with free parking. Slightly let down by lack of a proper bar (although some drinks are available after hours) and a torn curtain in the room. The bed and bathroom were great though, and there’s an hourly bus service if you don’t fancy walking back from the town centre. Overall a good choice for Cochem and the surrounding area."

"I booked the room with balcony. Good size clean room. Bathroom has being renovated. Balcony is good place to sit and enjoy wine and watch river flow by. Continental breakfast was good. Has cold cut meat, freshly baked bread, hard boiled eggs, etc. Note hotel is on the other side of Cochem town. It is 10 to 15 mins walk to Cochem proper. Also if you are coming by train, station is 15 to 20 min walk. "

"If it's a weekend night and your room is around the back of the property, you better not care about noise. Loud noise from the bar(s) next to the property around the back prevented sleep until about 3am. I also didn't like the self-check-in process though it was nice someone from the hotel was there to help. The people working at the restaurant were friendly and helpful."

"If you are arriving in a car, this hotel is ideal. Easy access from a main road with free parking Front facing rooms have a lovely view of the castle across the river and the old town is just a quick walk over the bridge."
