Can't say enough great things about ths property! The location is spectacular - just a few blocks from Ponte Vecchip and Palozzo Pitti. Also right in the center of many of the artisan shops. The property was clean and the rooms were well appointed and larger than many European hotel rooms. We enjoyed a the complimentary bottle of Chianti on arrival:) The rooftop terracn is spectacular - best view in town of Florence. The staff was kind, helpful and knowledgable:)

Hotel La Scaletta Al Ponte Vecchio was a comfortable and convenient choice for our stay in Florence. The hotel is centrally located on Via Guicciardini, perfectly situated between the Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace, making it very easy to explore the city on foot. Because the hotel is located within a historic 16th-century building, finding our room and navigating the split staircases and different floor levels took a little getting used to. Our room was small, but it was clean and comfortable, and perfectly manageable for two people as long as we stayed organized with our unpacked belongings. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Manuel was especially helpful, giving us advice on navigating Florence as well as excellent bar and restaurant recommendations. One of the highlights was the lovely rooftop bar, with beautiful views over the city and the Boboli Gardens near Pitti Palace. The morning breakfast was also excellent, with a substantial selection and a very pleasant atmosphere. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily choose Hotel La Scaletta again when we return to Florence.

The staff was great from when we checked in to the time we left. The rooftop bar was amazing every evening to overlook Venice and the location couldn’t be better for those who like an inter-city hike and time at the museums. We travelled with our children and they loved it as well. Only two small issues were some ants in the room, and the shower drain seemed to be quite plugged. I am sure those are easily fixed and would not stop me from coming again. Worth every Euro, must be one of the best places in downtown Florence.

This place is wonderful. Perfect location close enough to the Ponte Vecchio but far enough from it that the foot traffic feels at arms length. The front desk staff is super warm and the location is beautiful. Make sure to check out the courtyard next to the front desk area and also the stunning roof top bar views. I found this spot to be exactly where I wanted to start and finish my daily walking journeys. Slip into the nearby side streets for some great cafes, restaurants and Osterias.

Great location near the Ponte Vecchio. Wonder property, beautiful courtyard. Arrived Florence early in the morning. The hotel had luggage storage awaiting the 3 o’clock check in. When we arrived to check in our bags were in our room. Staff was extremely helpful getting us a cab on the morning of our departure at 4:35 am. Would certainly book again if I make it back to Florence.
