I frequently stay at this property. It is a very clean property with kind and helpful staff and an excellent restaurant and spa. I was locked out of the next door parking garage and Dan (door man?) helped me get my car out. He ran out there in the freezing cold, called the garage mgmt and got me out. Dan deserves a raise.

10/10 Exceptional

A fine location with nice rooms and helpful staff. The bar on the 15th floor has a nice view of the harbor and pretty good draft beer. Don't order food - or at least the tots as the serving size is meager and quality very low. Not to mention the high cost. Like many cities, Portland does struggle with issues of housing and, sometimes associated, drug use. The Westin area of town does has abundance of both of these issues. We NEVER felt threatened but some might be uncomfortable in this area.

The only thing- the beds were a little bit sloppily made but not so much I would complain about. Want to mention there's definitely pluses to visiting off season! Much quieter than some past visits. The attendant at check in was super nice. I definitely appeciated the early check in and got to spin the wheel which is fun.

This is our favorite spot to stay when we go to State Theater. The harbor view room on the 14th floor was gorgeous. The bed is very comfortable and I love the shower with aromatherapy shampoo. The staff is very friendly and I always look forward to the breakfast.

Staff was so friendly and had great dining recommendations. Room was super clean. Hotel was quiet and located in a perfect spot around the corner from the comedy show we went to see. Everything was so nice and good luck to the ginger bread house decoration competitors! We hope our choice wins!

6/10 Good

I chose this hotel specifically because it was advertised as pet-friendly, as I was traveling with my well-trained dog. While the location was convenient and the room itself was comfortable, the experience was soured by the lack of transparency regarding the pet policy. When I booked, the additional pet fee was not clearly disclosed. I was extremely annoyed to be informed that there was a flat pet cleaning fee for bringing a well-behaved animal into the room. If a hotel charges a premium for pets, there should be clear communication about that cost upfront, or they should at least provide amenities to justify the extra cleaning fee they claim to be charging.

The staff were excellent. The hotel is beautiful. The restaurant on the top floor had amazing drinks and the view was beautiful! My one complaint is that the room was soooo hot through the night no matter what and the pillows were so puffy and high when you lay down on them. So, did I sleep? Not at all. But was everything else immaculate? Yes.
