Very friendly staff, we left our luggages at the Hotel Skógafoss since it’s not time to check in to the Breakfast staffs we’re all friendly, Im not sure what’s on the water there is an odd smell on the water.

Excellent location, clean rooms and very good breakfast. Our room and bathroom were a bit small but we made it work. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay for two nights.

Be aware check in is 4 pm - no exceptions and there’s no way/place to store bags, hang out, etc. We were really late check in and early check out so we didn’t get to use hot tub but hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast had hot and cold options. We walked to waterfall before having breakfast (available 8-10) and were the only ones at the waterfall

It was self check in hotel with very clean instructions. The room had everything we needed and it was very comfortable and clean. The sister hotel has restaurant with amazing view of the nearby waterfall and delicious food. The hotel was at great location. The only downside was that the sauna wasn’t working , but regardless of that I would stay there again.

Inside the property is very nice. It is great that they have a hot tub for relaxing at the end of the day. The room was very nice. The outside of the building is a little bit misleading because it looks like I could use an updating, but once you go in, it is perfect.

This is a 3 star hotel. I’ll start with the positives. It was very clean and house keeping came everyday. There is a coffee machine on the first floor which was convenient and a nice touch. Now the cons the building exterior is in need of repair and when you pull up to the entrance you are parking by their dumpster. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. They desperately need new mattresses. The breakfast was okay but eggs and bacon everyday for 6 days gets old quick.

Such a great place to stay! Easy check in, great location and very clean rooms. Nice little breakfast with a coffee machine and a short easy walk to one of the most beautiful waterfalls ever. We will be back!

This hotel has self check in and check out which we appreciated. It is very close to Skogafoss waterfall. The room was very clean and we were able to capture a photo of the northern lights from outside our room so this seems to be a good location.

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel offers great value for money, and the staff truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome. My favourite part was the breakfast — served in a beautiful, cozy space, with plenty of delicious and varied options. Another highlight is the location: the hotel is just a short walk from the stunning Skógafoss waterfall. We loved it so much that we visited twice — once in the evening when we arrived, and again the next morning before continuing our journey. Highly recommended for anyone exploring the south of Iceland!
