What a pleasant hotel and stay! We enjoyed the remote, breathtaking setting, delicious meals and friendly staff. The hotel is very remote, so plan accordingly. We had dinner and breakfast there- all delicious, but if you plan to stay longer, it's quite a far drive to any restaurants. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. Hotel Latrabjarg is conveniently located near the Latrabjarg Cliffs. The hotel room is spacious and clean. The friendly staff provided excellent service and extra sightseeing recommendations. Their free breakfast has many options including meats, eggs, bread, desert, cereal and all kinds of drinks. A great bed&breakfast place!

Wonderful hotel.

During a trip to the Westfjords in Iceland we went as far west as possible and found this amazing hotel. Beautiful location, and excellent rooms. Service was personal and forthcoming. Very much “home away from home”. We would like to keep this gem for ourselves, but we also need to be fair and share our good fortune in locating this special place. We will be back.

My family of three adults stayed two nights in order to photograph puffins on the Latrabjarg cliffs. As it turned out, one day was rained out and the second day had high winds (30 mph) and gusts to 45 mph which made it too difficult and dangerous to approach the cliffs. So no success here. However, we had an excellent meal of cod there and enjoyed talking with the owners about the local history and his travels in California as a young adult.

This was one of the most expensive hotels we stayed at on our three week trip to Iceland. Not worth the money at all. Location is a challenge being 28 miles from the nearest village with a restaurant and despite its name is still 15 miles from the bird cliffs on very bad roads. Hotel itself is a bit dated and musty smelling but generally kept clean. Breakfast is very limited. We had dinner one night (one choice arctic char) which just ok but probably the most expensive meal we had in Iceland. Probably would not choose to stay here again.
