Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, we travelled as three so were in a separate building next door to the main hotel, lovely clean room, good bathroom. Free hot drinks available all the time, great choice for breakfast. Has plenty to entertain yourself with a pool table, dart board, games and a hot tub.

Unfortunately we had a dozen live flies on the window when we arrived. Got rid of them ourselves so all fine. This was unfortunate but had an excellent room overlooking fjord. Saw the northern lights from bedroom. Nice hotel on fabulous scenic location. Seems to be getting modernised and happy with our stay. Good value for Iceland.

What a lovely place to stay after day one of the ring road from Reykjavik. It was the perfect end of the day. Dropped my travel gear, grabbed a beer from the bar and watched the beautiful scenery. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff were so very friendly. Definitely a 5 star travel stop.

About a 10 minute drive away from town. Nothing else around the area so plan ahead if you need to grab food or other necessities to avoid the drive back to town. Bfast was included and offered good basic options; although it would be nice to have variety from day to day. We didn’t have any interaction with staff other than at check-in. Family room was a good size and beautiful view of the water front property. It’s a great stay to catch up on rest and relax while completing the ring road.
