Charming guesthouse in an older farmhouse - great location, clean, comfortable. We had a nice stay, did not opt in for the breakfast at an additional cost. Very quiet despite most rooms being full. As mentioned in other reviews, there are ALOT of house rules. This didn't bother us but may deter guests who prefer a more relaxed stay.

Check in easy, spotlessly clean. But it felt a little bit like staying in a library. There were lots of house rules posted so it felt constrained rather than like being a guest. Everyone whispered for fear of being too loud. Don’t plan on cooking there, the kitchen is private, but you can use the microwave and dishes if you ask. Coffee is provided. You can buy breakfast. There is a refrigerator and freezer downstairs. It has all that you need and is very clean, but we prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, so would most likely not stay again.

A lovely, relaxing place to stay in a beautiful pastoral setting located just 20 minutes from the ice lagoon - in my opinion the most beautiful spot in Iceland! Our room was very clean, bright and spacious with great views. Our hostess was helpful and offered freshly baked cookies to all. The exterior is not imposing but the inside is well appointed and kitchen facilities good. The bathrooms also were clean and well appointed. I would recommend it to anyone not looking for ultra-modern accommodation!

I loved how peaceful this property is. There is an old church and cemetery and the mountain rise up behind the lodging. There are a few good restaurants within 10 mins. The host made a yummy breakfast.

The host was so kind and attentive. The view from the bedroom window was brilliant. In the heart of the Icelandic countryside. Incredibly we were certain we even saw an arctic fox from the window although I was not quick enough in getting my 'phone to photograph it (and prove it !). This was a room only, shared bathroom and kitchen stop for us. The lady owner waited for us to arrive up to a late hour, and prepared sandwiches for us to leave before breakfast, thank you. The room for 3 was on a really small side, but for 1 night was ok for us. The room was clean and has a small sink, which is a bonus. The location is off the main road about 15 min or so, is quiet and peaceful.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The host Thora is extremely nice and accommodating. Check in was easy, Thora met us and provided all necessary information. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very clean. Although there are shared bathrooms they were very clean and there is a sink in the room. She made an amazing breakfast with homemade jams. Simple and comfortable. The property was easy to find and we were met by the host who was lovely. The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. Expedia does not list breakfast as an amenity but it was included. There are also lists of local activities to consider as well as a list of nearby restaurants to chose from if you want supper. While the host was fantastic and made a lovely breakfast. The bed and room is very comfy... It would be nice to have a bit more than a hot water kettle or microwave for a small warm meal after traveling in the cold all day. I was really glad to have had a cup of noddles. as I did not want to drive to another "hotel/guesthouse" for dinner. I had planned a head and am traveling with some groceries for easy meals on the ring road... as you cannot always depend on restaurants.

The hostess was very helpful and amiable. She provided a modest breakfast in the morning that was very well done. The accommodations were very comfortable and clean. We appreciated that the washroom and shower were separate from each other. Both were very modern and bright. Access to the kitchen area to chill out (both in the evening and in the morning) was very nice. The guest house was situated on beautiful grounds which was the site of a former church. Negatives? None. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice but too many rules

The room was cozy, comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, BUT they have a lot of rules that we didn't like, for example complete silence and you can't shower after a certain hour (we arrived after a long hiking day and had to sleep dirty) plus they only have one shower and one restroom for the whole floor. Wifi was weak and didn't work in some rooms.
