Overall a good stay. They advertised gluten free bread at the breakfast buffet. When I asked for some, they said it had to be offered and would take 10-12 minutes. Turns out they had it frozen and needed warm it up. It has over done and rock hard. Otherwise a good stay.

I’ve stayed here a few times for work trips. Love the size and comfort of the rooms. Nice lobby area for a cocktail or to work. Super convenient for the train and still easily walkable for the center.

Double charged for my room which is in excess of £200. Have have been chasing for more than a week hoping for a refund. Very non responsive. If you have to stay here do not give them access to your bank details.

Swallowed up by the bed!
The hotel is nice. I can sleep anywhere but this is the first time the bed was so soft it was uncomfortable- it swallows you up!

Double charged.
The room was far too warm even with the temperature set low. I had paid upfront when booking through hotels.com and this price included breakfast. On checkin i was asked for my card details and to pay the city tax. I left the hotel at 05:30 using the key drop box and 2 hours later receive an email from the hotel with my invoices for charges. I was charged again for the room, for breakfast and for tax. Have tried to contact the hotel bit so far not response.

Nice staff and easy check in, spacious hotel and rooms.
I would definitely not book again if other options, since, like others already noticed, also the carpet of my room was with stains and made an quite dirty impression. TV only in french and no chance to connect chromecast or even mirror my device. That is not ok for the price they are charging, even when reducted.
Breakfast is not more or less then standard.
Stick to breakfast times, they start emptying the buffet already 30min before breakfast ends.
The restaurant is ok, but nothing special.
Parking situation behind the hotel on hotels parking is somewhat free but constantly full, if you dare, just park in front of hotel like some others do. Otherwise parking house of train station is an easy option with 250m to walk.

There was hair in the shower drain; the fridge did not work, and not only the staff did not fix it, they also did not apologize for it; parking in front of the hotel to load and unload is badly thought out and hazardous; the staff are rude and speak condescendingly, as if I am supposed to know how things work even though this us my first time ever in this city and at this hotel.

Room Stale Smoke & Unhelpful Reception Staff
The room had a horrible odour and smell. Stale tobacco. Previous guests had been smoking in the room heavily and possibly the room had not been cleaned properly. The staff on reception were very unhelpful and lacked professional customer service skills. Their solution to the problem was to spray the room which would not have worked as the room needed full defumigation and deep clean and would take days/ long time to solve the terrible tobacco smells. We were left waiting for a long time and were advised that the hotel was fully booked, therefore no other options. We asked if we could be moved to another Novotel hotel within an hours drive which apparently was not possible. We asked for a refund under reasonable circumstance but were advised that was not possible too. At one point after one member of staff confirmed on inspection that the room had a terrible odour (the same lady who said the room could be sprayed with chemicals which would have created an awful smell) another staff member appeared and lied to say the room was ok. We eventually left Le Havre and on a busy Saturday night were able to book hotel rooms in Rouen an hours drive away at €270 expense. We will be making a formal complaint to the senior management of Novotel for full compensation and damages. We are a family of 4 (2 young children) it was a very distressing experience and the staff highly unprofessional. We have stayed in many hotels in France but never this before. Disgraceful behaviour.
