Functional clean accommodation but lacking charm (unless you are in the yellow house) - inside block b feels a bit like high-end student accommodation. The setting at the water side is lovely. There is a lounge with a coffee machine which is great but there were no clean cups. Restaurant on site is convenient for dinner as the hotel is remote and we had a good meal.

This was probably the largest room we stayed in during our trip. It was very well furnished and comfortable. Check in was easy and the free coffee and tea was appreciated. The attached restaurant's food was good, a bit pricey for what seemed to be fairly standard fair. If you have dietary restrictions, as I do, you definitely need to be aware that options are quite limited. We chose not to eat breakfast there as it was quite expensive. The attached museum was very interesting and free to anyone staying at the hotel. I would recommend this property without hesitation.

Nice and well maintained property on a beautiful plot of land with magnificent mountain as a backdrop. Kali served pretty good breakfast. Good option if you travel to the eastern part of Iceland.

While easily-accessible from the ring road, it's also easily-missed; I had to turn around. Reception is in the first building on the right, but there are other hotels between that building & these rooms, which could be confusing. And like all 12 that I stayed in, the roads really need maintenance. But the building we were in appeared to be fairly new with large clean rooms and a slightly-larger shower than most others, but still without a good place for our soap & shampoo. We didn't eat here (the Pakkhus lobster dinner with 3 tails was worth the drive, the wait, and the 3 tolls for driving the new bridges) or tour the "museum" in the reception building, but the view was good.

This place is so peaceful and quiet! I was running late and the reception desk was closed it was about 3:30AM when I got there. I called the number of the hotel and someone guided me to my exact cottage and even after our call he sent a text message with all the details. I was so grateful because after a long drive the last thing you want to do is have look for your room or cottage! Thank you for making my stay a safe and memorable one.

We stayed in the family cottage which was cozy and perfect for our family of 4. The incuded breakfast was outstanding with fresh baked bread, home smoked lamb in 4 varieties, and more. We enjoyed the museum and the book-themed restaurant building. We are dinner here and it was great, though expensive. Overall good value.
