"This hotel was comfortable, clean, and in a perfect location. The staff at the front desk were wonderful and very helpful. Our son got sick while we were there and they were extremely kind and helped us line up a doctor’s visit. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Taormina."

"My stay was on Saturday, so it could be different on other days of the week, but the area close to the hotel is like Las Vegas Strip with hundreds of people walking and shouting, cars honking, and bikes revving till late night. And there is almost none sound insulation, so if you go to bed early, there's no chance to sleep. Moreover, if you are at 3rd floor you can hear screech of chairs scraping in the restaurant/cocktail bar at 4th. Another disadvantage is the lack of kettle in the room. Other than that, it's a very nice hotel with a great view on the sea, varied breakfast (though, strangely, there's no orange juice!), and an underground parking (it's next to impossible to park on the street)."

"The hotel is a couples retreat with a fabulous private spa experience available complete with 2 jacuzzis, sauna, steam room and your own bottle of Prosecco and fruit! The breakfast in the courtyard was charming with a tremendous assortment to choose from! The valet parking is rare for a city hotel so getting in and out is very easy! The bathroom is our room was a modern artistic wonder! Easily the best I have seen in Sicily at this price! The staff look after every need with great pride and attention. The Duomo is 3 blocks aways with over 100 hundred food and beverage options! This is easily the best couple's romantic retreat at this price on Sicily. A small boutique hotel who is going to turn heads! I highly recommend this property!"

"Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location."

"Bel Soggiorno means “nice stay” in Italian, and for Hotel Bel Soggiorno, this is true but also an understatement. This is the most welcoming, pleasant, and beautiful place we have ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and taken care of. We arrived early but our room was ready within a few minutes and we were taken there by one of the friendly staff members. Our room opened to a terrace with a most lovely view of the sea and the hotel’s gardens below. We spent a lot of time just relaxing right there on the terrace, enjoying the view and taking in the peacefulness. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. What really sets this hotel apart, in additional to its prime location and the friendly staff, is the breakfast. Breakfast is included with the stay and is (without exaggeration) the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. A full spread of Sicilian foods, both sweet and savory, all homemade and all delicious. The breakfast area looks out to the sea, making the whole experience so memorable. Breakfast itself was an event to look forward to! The man at the reception showed us a shortcut for getting into the center of town on foot (a beautiful walk that takes you right past the public garden!). The hotel is in a great location as it is quiet and looks out to the sea, but is also within walking distance to all the gems in the center of Taormina. We felt so comfortable and welcomed. We were sad to go and hope to return! "

"I always have a hard time finding a hotel when traveling since I don’t know the area. Etna Suites was a perfect choice! We arrived late from Washington DC, after their hours, they sent complete directions on how to access the hotel. The room was quite roomy along with a large private bathroom. The a/c was strong! I didn’t have much interaction with the front desk, we didn’t need to. But they are there if you need anything. This was a great area for walking to shop/eat/explore. Their breakfast was quite good. I would stay here again with no hesitation. Thank you!!!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed this property our room was a little weird... room 35 its shaped oddly like an old fashion attic and unfortunately it was under the kitchen or at least close because we could hear the all breakfast preparations and dishes clanking. Other than that we loved it. We would go back. Front desk staff was very helpful with things to do and places to eat."

"This past visit July 2025 will mark our third consecutive summer stay at this gem of a hotel. We continue to enjoy the spacious accommodations and friendly staff. Like a sightly faded beauty, this 50 something year old hotel certainly can use an update , and we have been advised that is in progress. However you cannot beat the spaciousness and slightly faded grandeur of this beautiful property. The hotel is situated on what I believe to be one the ‘most’ gorgeous and picturesque of the entire Taormina area. The private grotto beach and pool areas are spectacular as is the view of Mount Etna from the buffet breakfast terrace. "

"Outstanding hotel. Located walking distance to all of the sights, the hotel really helped make our first trip to Catania one to remember. They upgraded our room, provided us with directions and dining recommendations. When we wanted to see a teatro du pupi they helped arrange a reservation on a local show down the street. The room was spacious and art deco with a patio. Breakfast was delicious and they made eggs and coffee upon request. Highly recommend! "

"Unusal, quirky decor but a great hotel! Staff friendly and helpful, very clean, beds incredibly comfortable and a brilliant pool area. Breakfast quite basic (extra charge for fried eggs or omelette) and restaurant pricey as often is the case in hotels. Not central to Catania but lovely to be away from the craziness so you can relax. Good bus options to the town, or further up the coast. "

"The most important from this property is the staff. Mr. Mario was always on top of everything, he is very professional on his duty. Super educated person and very kindly with my kids. His son was super friendly when we arrived late night too and super generous to help with the bags. The last on recepción very kind too and helpful to find me a spot to park calling from her cellphone. The staff for breakfast Ms Sylvia very kind and professional on her job, super friendly and attentive. Mateo also aware of everything. Very pleasant our stay here feels like home. 🏠 "

"Great location with several dining options. Quick drive to Taormina or Naxos beach. Beach is a little too rocky for small children but we anticipated that. Hotel staff were very helpful and parking is monitored just a down the street. "

"Our experience could not have been better. We are three American Senior women and the hotel went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. All the staff was excellent, especially Giacomo at the front counter who gave us explicit instructions and directions and also Antonio the bar manager who went out of his way to make our experience extra special, even telling us about the special Prosecco."
