Upon arriving, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful. Walking into the room I was pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness and the attention to detail. I left the hotel came back later in the staff member at the front desk was extremely helpful and impatient as I am new to the area. Upon leaving and my checkout process was extremely efficient and the staff member at the front desk was again extremely helpful, very friendly. It is clear that time was spent in training.

It’s just a really old hotel. No amenities, the one front desk staff was overwhelmed. The lady in front of me was upset because the room she just checked into hadn’t been cleaned yet from the prior guest. The security guard was sleeping on the couch in the lobby (it’s not really a lobby, just a long hallway). The heat was either on off or set to inferno… The elevators were super sketchy… Just was t what I was expecting.

This is undoubtedly one of the best value hotels in DC! The location is great, just two blocks from the Metro, and the staff were outstanding. Lisa at the front desk was on her way out of the hotel after her shift when I came to the front desk and asked if there was anyone who could sew a button back on my dress coat as I was heading out to dinner with important contacts when the button came off. Small thing, but it looked awful! Lisa found thread and a sewing kit and fixed it in just ten minutes! Rather than pass the buck, and even though her shift was over, she took care of me and made everything perfect for my big event. I can't thank her enough!
