"Very helpful staff and updated hotel. Reserved two nonsmoking suites but one was on a nosmoking floor and the one on the smoking floor still smelled of stale smoke. Hotel is part of a block in old part of town with many begging children and old women that tugged at our hearts and guilt. Nice street market nearby"

"A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Antananarivo This was my second stay at this incredible boutique hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint. The rooms are spotless, the ambiance is stylish yet cozy, and the breathtaking rooftop bar offers stunning 360-degree views of downtown Antananarivo, an absolute must-see at sunset. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, effortlessly communicating in both English and French, which made the experience even more seamless and enjoyable. The hotel is ideally located next to one of the best dessert shops and a fantastic French restaurant, making it perfect for food lovers. If you’re looking for charm, comfort, and convenience all in one, this is hands down one of the best boutique hotels in Madagascar. I can’t wait to return!"

"It was so convenient to the airport, they offered a shuttle, restaurant was good and the staff was nice. My only issue was the power kept going on and off, other than that very cold AC! If I'm back, I'll stay there again. "

"I have stayed at a lot of hotels. But this property was the most accommodating out of any country I’ve stayed. The owner was so helpful with giving me transportation on the drop of a dime. I was solo traveling. He was able to pick me up from the airport and even told ME when I had a flight cancellation/delay/etc. now for the property itself, mme vola is the sweetest woman ever. She will help out with your laundry, she cooks you breakfast every morning and asks you what you prefer to eat, she keeps the bathroom tidy, towels ready and soap filled consistently. Mirado is the driver, he was great. He took me to go party at the clubs and would wait for me outside, he would be there everytime I had a flight, always helping me with my luggage, he also would help prepare breakfast if mme vola was out for the day. I really loved the room, it has an amazing view of the city during the day & night. I do recommend to bring a portable charger in case power goes go out. Out of the 15 days there, power only went out once for 3 hours. But that is common in Tana. When I come back to Madagascar I will stay here again. Thank you for everything, much love "

"The hostel is placed in the heart of Akamasoa, the town within the city of Antananarivo, which has Père Pedro Opeka created from nothing. The staff is super friendly and accomodating. The rooms are very clean, big and comfortable. We felt very welcome with them and despite it costs a little bit more than other accomodations in Tana, it was well worth it. And it is all for the good cause, as the income goes to the organization of Père Pedro. "

"The receptionist was friendly. The bed was uncomfortable. I didn't use either of the bed pillows because they both were very thick and hard and I estimated that each weighed about 2 kilos. Winter blankets were on the bed. Breakfast was good but I had to ask for missing items. The location is indeed walking distance from the airport."

"The hotel is great for the price. It is centrally located and has a fitness center. The staff is mostly friendly and support. The area is a little sketchy after dark but not really unsafe. "

" I had the absolute worst experience at this hotel in Antananarivo! The room was filthy, and the staff were rude and completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, there was no Wi-Fi at all, and the water stopped in the middle of my shower! When I asked for help, no one did anything. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, and the staff couldn’t care less. But the worst part—when I complained to the manager, an aggressive man, he actually called the police! It was insane. I was taken to the police station for no reason and kept there for 6 hours. No one spoke English, and I was terrified. They even tried to take me to another location, but I refused and demanded they call the US ambassador. This was a nightmare! Avoid this hotel at all costs. The immigration police came to inspect the place, and even they confirmed the conditions were horrible."
