"I stayed here twice now on my visit to San Antonio. It’s a convenient location within walking distance to downtown coffee, shops, and restaurants within about 15 minutes and one thing I really like is there is a H-E-B grocery store right across the street so anything you need you could just pop over there. They’re open till 7 AM to 10 PM. That’s super convenient. The hotel serves a breakfast every morning 7 to 930 wasn’t really my cup of tea but if you’re on a budget and you’re hungry, of course why not get some eggs and some coffee and some fruit but like I said I like the location I’ve stayed in the actual downtown by the Riverwalk and I’ve stayed at the La Quinta and I actually like the La Quinta so far cause you’re kind of away from all the madness a little bit not that it gets too crazy but sometimes does get a little crazy on the river wall but anyway I recommend it. It’s it’s a nice budget hotel and it’s clean friendly staff."

"Absolutely the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in to include really nice and more expensive one in Los Vegas. My husband and I were celebrating our 54th wedding anniversary and wanted to be near the Riverwalk. This one, The Plaza, was right there off the basement elevator. Hotel food was great and readily available morning and late night. Can’t say enough about the room… even had normal height commode which we found scarce everywhere else. We will be back!!!"

"Everything was excellent except ice machine on our floor was not working so we had to go to next floor every time to get ice that was irritating"

"Each time we tried to use the pool there were no towels. We had to let the front desk know and eventually the towels would be replenished. Also the hot tub jets come on and off at random. There's not a button to activate them. You just have to take advantage of it while they happen to be going."
