I'd been to Brooklyn in the past but I really got to see it this time. Try Juinors, Angelica's pizza, Pio bagel. Stay away from Dekalb market. Over priced trash food. Walk to Brooklyn bridge and DUMBO area by the water. Board a ferry to get back.

I LIVE for Brooklyn. The only other times I've been to the city have been with parents or as a kid, so it has been SO nice to be able to come to NYC and not just sit in Manhattan/Times Square and feel the energy of something vibrant and fun!

I have lived in Brooklyn's Bed-Stuy neighborhood for six decades and feel perfectly safe. The media would have us believe that crime runs rampant in New York whereas it is actually one of the safest cities In the country.

Very surprised on how clean the city was. We felt perfectly safe walking to the Barclay's Center. Surprisingly quiet for a city. So different from the neighbor across the river.

Lots of cute walkable things to do and snacks to nibble upon. Bring your walking shoes, grab a coffee and walk over the Williamsburg Bridge in the morning.

Brooklyn is a hipster haven with still many of the rough edges. The gentrification process is happening fast with new building everywhere.
