Catch a wave at Surfrider Beach, where perfect breaks have made this stretch of sand legendary among board riders since the 1950s. The Getty Villa houses ancient treasures in a setting so Mediterranean you'll forget you're in California. Hike through wildflowers in the Santa Monica Mountains, where trails reveal panoramic ocean views worth every drop of sweat. At Paradise Cove, toes-in-the-sand dining elevates the simple fish taco to transcendent experience. Point Dume offers dramatic cliff-top vistas where, between December and May, migrating gray whales pass remarkably close to shore. 10/10 Excellent
"I was greeted in the office and it was a quick check-in to get my room key. Staff was friendly. My room was clean. There was a small refrigerator for me to use. I setup my computer on the desk space and was able to work from my room. Plenty of daylight and you could open the windows for a breeze of fresh air. The shades were blackout so you could get a good nights rest. Great shower, spacious bathroom. The ocean view was amazing, as were the adorable hummingbirds that played in the palm trees right outside my balcony. Loved the balcony. I didn’t use the pool but it was very clean and there were plenty of lounge chairs surrounding it to use. Parking was available. Location was walkable to grocer, etc. and to public beach access— so you can see and do plenty without a car."
