This boutique hotel is charming and all of the staff were very kind, responsive and helpful, providing a high level of service. We are thankful to Ciara for informing us about the direct water bus service to the airport and for the assistance provided to us with taking our luggage to the docking station! Dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent, and a very good breakfast was nicely served at table. Our room was attractively designed, with a spacious bathroom and shower. However, there were no shelves or drawers which, for our 3-night stay (part of a longer trip in the Veneto region) we would have appreciated.

Incredible hotel, great location and amazing and attentive service from all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. We had an amazing 3 nights here in Oct, the location is perfect for accessing some of the outstanding local restaurants within a few minutes walk, the Campo Santa Margarita is lovely for food and afternoon drinks. We had a “romantic room” which is cosy but lovely and has everything you need, and a bonus canal view if you lean out the window! Access via the private water entrance is so easy, alternatively less than 1 minute walk to the ACTV and Alilaguna boat service. The main sights are easily reached with a 15/20 minute walk which also gets you exploring the beautiful streets and canals on this side of the Grand Canal. The breakfast was spectacular, once again made even more special by the service and the restaurant was also lovely for dinner one evening, we chose to eat outside in the courtyard which was lovely. There’s also a small roof terrace (see night pic with the white lit up statue on the terrace) to enjoy a late afternoon spritz! We’ll hopefully return one day and would strongly recommend for a special trip to Venice.

The hotel was beautiful, impeccably clean, and perfectly located, making it easy to explore everything Venice has to offer. The room was comfortable, elegant, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Every interaction with the staff exceeded our expectations—they were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with recommendations and arrangements. This hotel truly made our visit to Venice unforgettable. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional experience in this beautiful city. Lovely hotel, previously stayed when it was Lacanda san Barnaba and the upgrade is really great, whilst still keeping the originsl ceiling frescos and other features. Great new updsted bathrooms. Great communal areas as well as fab breakfast. Only slight niggle was not much hanging space and no drawers but easily manageable. Overall a great stay
