The hotel was beautifully situated easy to walk to pretty much every place I wanted to go in the old town. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. And the hotel and the Room were both very tastefully done and pretty. The chocolates for turndown service were exquisite. I definitely stay here again.

The Hotel was really nice once you find it. Using waze when we got to this narrow road we turned around thinking waze had it wrong. After driving around the area we walked up and realized that was accually a road. It's up a road that looks like a cobblestone walkway and it is so tight you may need to fold your mirrors in to make it. There is no parking so you have to park a half a mile away if there is space.If you choose this hotel use uber or a Taxi. Rooftop bar was nice and the breakfast staff is really helpful.

Hotel Timbre Virtudes is a classic, beautifully decorated with history and modern comfort. It's conveniently located, about 10 minutes walking distance to the Douro River front. The room is comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend Timbre Virtudes and stay there next time in Porto.

Beautiful hotel and fantastic service. The food was great too. Just beware aware that most cars can’t drive to the front of the hotel as the road is very narrow and you have to drag (or carry) your bags 100 metres over an old cobblestone road. It adds to the experience but if you have heavy bags, it can be challenging.
