Learn more about Pinedale
Beneath the Wind River Range, this cowboy town offers a genuine slice of the West without the tourist crowds. The Museum of the Mountain Man brings fur trade history to life with surprising detail. Anglers find paradise in the Green River's blue-ribbon trout waters, while hikers disappear into Bridger-Teton National Forest's wilderness. Fremont Lake provides summer swimming and boating against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks. In winter, White Pine Ski Resort offers uncrowded slopes where lift lines are practically nonexistent. The Path of the Pronghorn Sculpture reminds visitors of the ancient migration routes still active today. For a perfect evening, grab a local beer at one of the unpretentious Main Street establishments where ranchers and energy workers share tales of the high country.

Jackalope Motor Lodge
"An older motel that has been completely refurbished. Room was very clean. Bed was VERY comfortable, Classic Retro Motel vibe. Convieniently located. I would reccomend and would stay there again."
Sundance Motel
"Pet friendly, spacious room, kitchenette, large refrigerator/ freezer and microwave. Nice breakfast in morning."
Best Western Pinedale Inn
"This hotel is very quiet and clean. The breakfast served is one of the best "free hotel breakfasts" I've ever had! As for other meal options; there are plenty of dining options within a short walking distance of the property. The hotel Staff is very friendly and helpful. All of this at a reasonable price. I will stay here again."
Quality Inn & Suites Pinedale
"The stay was good and staff helpful. No issues."
Log Cabin Motel
"We had stayed here before some years ago and like to stay at properties with some history, like this collection of log cabins on the National Register of Historic Places and the oldest lodging in Pinedale. The cabin was cozy but note the bathroom is in one of the bedrooms which might be a turnoff for some. The hosts left oatmeal, coffee and cocoa packets (but only two and there were four of us). Only negatives were a smelly shower curtain and less then ideal cleanliness in the bathroom, and the kitchen sink strainer was nasty. Pinedale is just about 90 minutes (and a lot cheaper for everything from gas to food to lodging) south of hyperexpensive Jackson, so it makes for a good stop on the way to or from Jackson and Grand Teton and Yellowstone NPs to the north. Also, there are beautiful lakes in the nearby national forest, abundant wildlife (we saw a doe mule deer and fawn right outside our cabin), and opportunities for water sports, hunting, fishing, birding, and hiking very nearby and much less crowded than the national parks."
